Mel has always had music running through her veins, after stints as a DJ, music retailer and delving into the word of publicity for a record company she fell into the world of radio after a Radio Manager witnessed a verbal slanging match between her and Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam.

In 1993 she became the first Perth female co-host for a Top 40 Countdown show at PMFM. After 5 arduous years there, she saw the light and joined the team at 96fm in 1998 and took over the Top 30 Night Show.

In 2002 she was longing for new challenges and she spread her wings and climbed that elusive ladder in the corporate sector... until now that is... when she got offered an opportunity she couldn't refuse - to throw her feisty opinion around once again on the Perth airwaves as a team member of The Crew with her very good buddies Gaz Shannon and Fitzi.

Stubborn would be an understatement and fools aren't suffered gladly but as you probably already know... laughter is her constant companion.
