As a kid, Darren pretended the handle of the washing line was a microphone. Then in pre-school they gave him a real one.

His first on-air stint came at 14 as one of Howard Sattler's Junior Talkback announcers, and he scored his first regular gig in Bunbury when he was doing his TEE.

Some say he was always destined to be on the air, others suspect he just isn't qualified to do anything else.
