Channel Ten Has Pretty Much Just Axed The Biggest Loser
Channel Ten has dumped the Biggest Loser: Transformed and will now show during the daytime.
The move comes after the show reached its lowest figures yet, with just 254,000 tuning in on Wednesday night.
The show will now be aired on Monday to Thursdays at 1PM.“We’re disappointed,” Ten program chief Beverley McGarvey says. “It really hasn’t resonated with audiences the way we had hoped.
“It is a very competitive time of year. There are two very established shows on (My Kitchen Rules and Married at First Sight) that are creating a lot of noise.
“We hoped it would do a lot better but it simply hasn’t. We think we’ve given it as long as we possibly can. It will move to daytime from Monday.”
The Biggest Loser: Transformed will be replaced by a variety of programs including Modern Family, David Attenborough nature shows, and special episodes of The Graham Norton Show.
