Elizabeth Olsen's 'Terrible' Game Of Thrones Audition
She may have landed a role in the coveted Marvel universe after debuting as Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch in 2015's Avengers: Age of Ultron, but it turns out Elizabeth Olsen almost found herself as the Mother of Dragons.
The 30-year-old revealed that she auditioned to be Daenerys Targaryen in the hit HBO series, but failed to impress the casting directors.
Speaking at Vulture's Emmy studio, the younger sister of Mary-Kate and Ashley said she will never forget how terrible her audition for Game of Thrones went.
"When I first started working, I just auditioned for everything, because I like auditioning," she said.
"And I auditioned for Khaleesi. I forgot that. It was the most awkward audition I’d ever had."

Elizabeth Olsen said she auditioned with one of Daenerys' monologues from when she got burnt in the first season (literally), but it was the accents she struggled with.
"She’s making this speech to thousands of people about how she’s their queen," she said.
"They didn’t know if they wanted a British accent or not. So, you did it in both.
"It was terrible. Anytime someone says, 'Bad audition story.' That’s one I remember."
However, there's absolutely no hard feelings, and prefers watching Game of Thrones as a regular viewer.
"I’m just so deep in Game of Thrones that all I can think about is Kit Harington," she said. "I mean, he’s just brainwashed me."
Oh, what we'd do to get our hands on this footage!
