The Haunting Of Hill House Could Get A Second Season
The scary Netflix series that had everyone talking following it’s release due to the perfect combination of sickening horror and a fascinating storyline, The Haunting Of Hill House, might just be about to bring another round of scares.
The series, which first appeared on the streaming service in October 12, left a lasting impression after it’s story of how the Crain children have coped years after being haunted by spirits left a number of viewers feeling physically ill.
And now, seeing as the first seasons was such a hit, it looks like we might just be getting a second season of this ghostly drama!

Speaking with the Hollywood Reporter, director of the series Mike Flanagan said that he’d been giving it thought.
“I’ve definitely thought about a second season,” he said. “There are variables at play, so I can’t say much. But I’ve given it thought.”
But by the looks of things, this series would not be a continuation of the same story. Flanagan said that he felt that the story of the Crain family had reached it’s conclusion, meaning that the new season would have to introduce new characters.
However, it’s been rumoured that these new characters could still look familiar! Flanagan mentioned in an interview that The Haunting Of Hill House 2 could use the same cast but as different people, in similar fashion to American Horror Story.
This anthology type series would therefore focus on a completely new haunted place with new characters played by the same cast of actors.
Carla Cugino, who played Olivia Crain in season one of The Haunting of Hill House told the Hollywood Reporter that she would be keen to come back for a second season following Flanagan’s vision of an anthology series.
“Mike Flanagan said he would be interest in the notion of an anthology where some actors come back to play different characters,” she said.
“I think he feels like he has told the complete story of the Crain family. But it I was invited and I was able to, I would really love to, just because I do love to collaborate with him.”
So are you ready to scare yourself silly all over again? Of course we’ll have to wait and see if the second season actually gets picked up by Netflix, but if it does, we’ve got our popcorn at the ready!
