Saved By The Bell Star Charged With Stabbing A Man
If you were born in the 80s or even before, you were probably a big fan of television show, Saved By The Bell.
What you probably didn't know is that the dorky-yet-loveable 'Screech' from Bayside High would be convicted of stabbing a man almost 20 years later.
Reports claim that while Diamond and his fiancee were out on Christmas night, the two got into a tussle with two men and another woman at the Grand Avenue Saloon in Port Washington.
Port Washington police say they responded at 11:15pm on Christmas night to a report of a stabbing at the bar.
Diamond told police he had a 'pen' in his hand when he grabbed one of the men and later revealed to police that he accidentally stabbed the man under the armpit while trying to defend his fiancee.
Diamond appeared on Friday afternoon in Ozaukee County court, where bail was set at $US10,000 ($AU10,819). His next hearing is scheduled for December 29. His fiancee, 27-year-old Amanda Schutz, also faces a disorderly conduct charge.
