Shannon Noll Threatens To Punch Audience Member At Gig

Aussie singer and former Australian Idol runner-up Shannon Noll has received a ton of backlash after footage emerged of him yelling insults and expletives at an audience member at his concert over the weekend.

Noll was performing at the Duck Creek Picnic Races in Nyngan, a regional town in NSW, when the disgraceful moment occurred. It’s believed that a fan in the crowd threw a beer can onto the stage on Saturday night, sparking the explosive tirade from Nollsie.

“Whoever there that, come up here,” said Noll to the crowd. “Come on then, that f***head in the tie. You’re a f***ing maggot. Have some f***ing balls to come up here…cheap shot prick.”

But he didn’t stop there. The expletive-filled rant continued and if possible, actually got worse as Nollsie threatened the patron with violence.

“Shame that motherf***er right there. F***ing private school stupid f***head motherf***er. Have some balls and get up here and I’ll punch your f***ing teeth down your throat…then I’ll f*** your misses and your mum.

“Let’s everybody else, apart from that f***stick, sing along to that song, ok, here we go. I’ll give someone $100 bucks to punch that f*** for me. “Enough with the haters, f*** the haters. There’s too many good looking girls here.”

The video of the disgusting speech has since gone viral casuing Shannon Noll too take to his Facebook page on Sunday night to apologise for the incident, saying that he had been “rattled” by the audience member.

“I would like to apologise for my behaviour and language at Saturday night’s Duck Creek Picnic Races,” wrote Noll. “During our set there were people in the audience throwing cans and bottles at the stage and after one guy threw a full can, just missing my head it really rattled me.

“We had a similar issue last year with a firecracker thrown onto the stage and one of my band members was seriously hurt…you don’t have a lot of deep vision into the crowd from the stage and it’s pretty scary to see something flying straight at you.

“We’re just doing out job and these actions are not acceptable. I completely understand that that is still no excuse for the way I spoke and I am deeply sorry for the terrible things I said that were purely out of frustration.”

But for many fans of the Aussie singer, the apology fell short, with many criticising Noll for his foul language in the comments section on Facebook.

“At first I was thinking fair enough - then get to the bit about the misses and the mum - um - yeah - wow #overboard,” wrote one user.

“Wow, how proud has he just made his wife children and his parents. SHAME ON YOU SHANNON!!!!!! be the bigger man, laugh it off and move on,” wrote another.

This comes after Noll made the headlines back in January after he was arrested following an incident with a bouncer at the Crazy Horse Revue strip club in Adelaide. Assault charges against the singer were eventually dropped.
