24th Anniversary of Freddie Mercury's Death

Queen guitarist Brian May took a moment to remember late front man Freddie Mercury, who died 24 years ago this week.

May writes on his website, "Not a day I like to celebrate. Just quietly and fondly remember... 24 years since you left us, dear Freddie. 24 years since your parting words... 'I still love you.' Sure that's still as true today as we still love you... His star never wanes. His incredible talent and personality surpasses death as he left his footprints firmly on this world."

Brian also posted a photo of Freddie with a Fender Telecaster guitar with the caption, "That 'crazy little' Telecaster disappeared from our storage and was never seen again."

Brian will remember another friend, drummer Cozy Powell, when he unveils a plaque in his honor on January 7th in Cirencester, England. Cozy was killed in a car accident in England in 1998.
