Bruce Springsteen Vets, Guitars and Lasagna
Bruce Springsteen once again showed his support for veterans by performing Tuesday night in NYC at the ninth annual Stand Up for Heroes fundraiser at the Theatre of Madison Square Garden.
He played a four-song acoustic set of “For You,” and from his Born in the U.S.A. album, “Darlington County,” “Working on the Highway” and “Dancing in the Dark.”
And, as he has in the past, he auctioned off two signed guitars, two pairs of tickets to an E Street Band concert with a full backstage guided tour, a meal with the band and lasagna from his mother Adele.
That package went to two bidders for $370,000 each. Also auctioned was a brand-new Harley Davidson that Bruce took a spin on, along with lots of extras, which brought in another $100,000.
Proceeds go to the Bob Woodruff Foundation, which provides support for injured servicemen.
