Bruce Springsteen Walks Into A Bar
Bruce Springsteen surprised the crowd at the Wonder Bar in Asbury Park, New Jersey, on Saturday with an impromptu performance that lasted nearly two hours, according to NJ.com.
The 65-year-old rocker proved he's still The Boss, according to the website, which notes he joined the scheduled band, Joe Grushecky and The Houserockers, for a 15-song set that included the Springsteen classics "Darkness on the Edge of Town," "Racing in the Street" and "The Promised Land."
NJ.com reports Springsteen, who was "in a great mood and loose," played to a packed house and even drew a huge crowd of people that watched from outside the bar. He dedicated his final song of the night, "Light of Day," to them, announcing, "People out on the street, this is for you!"
This was his first Asbury Park bar performance since early in 2012.
Springsteen appeared three weeks ago on stage in New Jersey, with Beach Boys legend Brian Wilson, and performed two songs.
