Icehouse Cancel Second Perth Concert Due To 'Emergency'
Icehouse were forced to cancel their second Perth concert due to a medical emergency.
Just hours before their performance at Crown Theatre on Wednesday, a band member suffered a medical emergency and the show was subsequently cancelled.
It’s understood the musician had been advised to not play the second concert.
As a result, Icehouse have also cancelled Thursday night’s gig.
96FM has been advised that the band member was not frontman Iva Davies.
“As we told everyone last night, a member of the band had a medical emergency and was taken to hospital,” the band posted to Facebook.
“Iva and the rest of the band are making sure he has the greatest of care.
“However, the doctors are advising that it isn’t possible for this band member to perform at tonight’s show in Perth.
“Therefore, we are postponing tonight’s show, as well.
“Please hold onto your tickets as we will be looking into return dates. Your tickets for the postponed shows will transfer over to the new shows in Perth.
“We will post more details as they become available regarding the new dates for Perth.
“Icehouse would like to thank you all for your support and understanding.”
96FM ticket winners are advised to hold on to their ticket until we received further info from the promoter.
