Joss Stone Temple Pilots Mashup
Chester Bennington also of Linkin Park has left the Stone Temple Pilots. A joint statement issued late Sunday bears the headline "Stone Temple Pilots and Chester Bennington Amicably Part Ways".
Earlier in the same weekend, Stone Temple Pilots founding singer Scott Weiland spilled the beans in an interview with Alternative Nation, telling them, "[Chester] is not in the band anymore. He's got a band [Linkin Park] where he gets paid $700,000 a night, and with STP, the brand is kind of falling apart, which is a shame.”
Just one day after announcing that they no longer have a singer, Stone Temple Pilots hooked up with one for an evening, at least.
Joss Stone Temple Pilots performed as part of Jimmy Kimmel Live's Mashup Mondays series last night. The three remaining STP members and Stone played a soulful version of "Interstate Love Song" aided by Cleto and the Cletones' horn section and keyboardist.
No word as to whether Joss Stone is being considered as the band's next singer, but it seems highly doubtful.
