WTF, A Metallica & Foo Fighters Collab Might ACTUALLY HAPPEN
It’s official: a Metallica and Foo Fighters splinter group is not off the table.
Metallica’s Lars Ulrich was interviewing the Foos frontman Dave Grohl on his It’s Electric! radio show when the pair floated the idea.
“You and I have never played together, so let’s do that… let’s play together one day,” Ulrich said.
“I know!” replied Grohl.
“Well that’s the thing — you’re sitting there talking about like, ‘What’s it like to jam with all the people you’ve grown up listening to?’,” Grohl continued.
“I wasn’t gonna come on here and f*ckin’ blow you on your own radio show, but ladies and gentlemen, let me just tell you that if it weren’t for Metallica and Lars, I wouldn’t be doing what I do today.”
Earlier this month, the Foo Fighters announced they’re heading back Down Under, kicking off in Perth, in the light of their ninth album, Concrete And Gold. They’ll be supported by fellow American rockers, Weezer.
