Phil Collins to Re-issue Solo Albums

Phil Collins is planning to release deluxe remastered editions of all eight of his solo studio albums as part of a new global deal he's inked with Warner Music Group.  The agreement also eventually will see the release of various archival packages curated by the longtime Genesis singer/drummer.

The first installments of the reissue campaign will be expanded versions of Collins' 1981 solo debut, Face Value, and his popular 1993 record Both Sides, which will hit stores in the fall.  Face Value yielded a pair of top-20 singles, "In the Air Tonight" and "I Missed Again," and has sold more than five million copies in the U.S.  The platinum-selling Both Sides featured two US top-40 hits, "Both Sides of the Story" and "Everyday."

"I've had a fantastic relationship with Warner and Atlantic [Records] throughout my career and I'm thrilled to be continuing that," Collins says in a statement.  "I'm working with them now on these new presentations.  Very exciting."

Warner Music Group executive Tim Fraser-Harding adds that the company is "looking forward to collaborating with Phil on some sensational new releases that will excite his longtime fans while also helping to introduce his songs to new generations of music lovers."
