Police Called On Scott Weiland's Ex-Wife
Scott Weiland's ex-wife, Mary Forsberg, reportedly tried to take one of the late Stone Temple Pilots frontman's guitars from a recording studio.
According to TMZ, Forsberg and Weiland's teenage son allegedly showed up to a studio in Burbank, California with the intent of taking a guitar, but a studio employee did not allow them access. Sources in law enforcement tell TMZ that officers were called to the studio after an argument ensued.
Last month, Forsberg reportedly took legal action to be named the executor of Weiland's will.
Forsberg, Weiland's second wife, is the mother of his two children. At the time of his death, Weiland was married to his third wife, photographer Jamie Wachtel, whom he wed in 2013.
Weiland died on December 3 from an accidental drug overdose. A few days after his death, Rolling Stone published a letter written by Forsberg and her children reflecting on Weiland's life and struggles.
"The truth is, like so many other kids, they lost their father years ago," Forsberg wrote. "What they truly lost on December 3rd was hope."
