Couple Hold Their Wedding Reception At KFC
Weddings can be expensive, but here is an extreme way of cutting costs.
A British couple have treated their 40 weddings guests to a post wedding ceremony feast at a KFC store.
Cherish and Edward Simms were so keen to keep the reservation that they called every month in the lead up to their big day, just to double check.
"We didn't want a boring reception where we would have to organise everything ourselves so we thought why not see if it was possible," they said.
Apparently the couple love KFC so much that their guests expected nothing less.
"When the guests saw on the invite that the reception would be there, they weren't surprised at all, they know what we are like. We got in touch with the manager, who thought it was a bit strange, but was willing to give it a go for us."
The meals, sides and desserts only costed them a combined total of $175 Australian dollars.
"We had more than enough to eat and they had really gone to town with the decoration," she said. "We didn't even plan anything with them, but they really managed to make our day special."
