Landing Plane Forced Back Into Air By Rogue Wind Gust

A video of a plane dealing with a rogue gust of wind has caused hearts to stop across the internet.

It starts fairly innocuously, with the small plane approaching the landing strip.

Then, suddenly and awkwardly, strong winds force the plane upward.

For a few moments, it looks as though the plane is completely stationary, mid-air.

The plane, still caught in the gust, slowly drops down to the tarmac by inching down vertically, helicopter-style.

But all is not what it seems.

Eagle-eye commenters were pretty quick to point out that it was no small plane but a really big remote-controlled plane. Hence the missing pilot.

Small plane or no small plane, we’re just glad we wore our brown undies today.
