Mum Claims Coles Staff Swiped Little Shop Collectable Case
Just when you thought the thirst surrounding the cult for Coles Little Shop collectibles was dying down, THIS happens!
An angry mum has gone online claiming Coles staff have been swiping the collectable cases for the supermarket's Little Shop promotion before any customers can get one.
The woman alleges she was at Coles store in Yamba, northern New South Wales, when she overheard some staff members 'bragging' about snatching the sought after cases.
The woman's daughter made the claims on the Coles Little Shop - Minis Swap Group Australia Facebook page.
She posted that her mum 'was going about her shopping when she got to the self serve area and overheard two staff bragging about how a box of the collectable cases came in this morning and they were all gone to staff already,'
'My mum spun around and said excuse me? To which the girl responded we are apart (sic) of the community too we can get them - mum said not while you're in that uniform at work and not spending money as a paying customer outside of work hours you're not.'
The woman complained to Coles' head office and alleges she was told 'this has been happening with staff all over the country'.
However, a Coles spokesman told news.com.au a head office staff member never made such a comment when contacted.
The collectable cases can hold 30 miniature items Coles is offering through their Little Shop promotion, which ends on September 11.
The Coles spokesman said the woman who made the complaint had since been offered one of the cases.
He said the Yamba store had received a delivery of collectable cases this week but they were handed out to the public within 10 minutes.
