Parents Outraged At This Sex-Ed Book Being Sold At Kmart

A new children's book has divided parents about it's content dealing with sex.

'The Amazing True Story of How Babies Are Made' is currently stocked at Kmart stores retailing for $12 and has been described as too graphic by some parents.

The book, written by by Fiona Katauskas describes intercourse as being like a 'jigsaw puzzle' where people get a 'tingly, excited, very loving feeling'

Some parents have stated their disapproval, saying kids should be left to be kids while others have defended the book as simply being 'fact'.

Ms Katauskas says on her website that the idea for writing the book came when her eldest son asked the question that all parents dread: 'Where do babies come from?'

'It turned out many of my friends had experienced the same frustration with finding a good sex ed book so I decided to have a go at writing one myself,' Ms Katauskas said.

'Firstly, I wanted it to be straightforward and honest. Secondly, I wanted it to include alternative but increasingly common methods of conception such as IVF, sperm and egg donation as well as different types of families and parents.'
