This 6-Year-Old Raked In $11 Million And We Give Up

Child stars ain’t what they used to be.

Forget Shirley Temple, Macaulay Culkin or even Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen.

Today, YouTube is where it’s at.

One of the biggest YouTube celebs is Ryan. Since Ryan was 3 years old, his parents have been filming him playing with toys, and post his ‘reviews’ on their YouTube channel, Ryan ToysReview.

To say that Ryan is raking it in is an understatement.

In the last financial year, Forbes has revealed the now-6-year-old has pulled in an eye-watering $11 million in revenue.

It all began with an unremarkable 15-minute video about a Lego Duplo train set. Ryan simply opened the box, set up the blocks, and played with them.

“One day, he asked me, ‘How come I’m not on YouTube when all the other kids are?’ So we just decided — yeah, we can do that,” his mother, who declined to be named, told TubeFilter last year.

“Then, we took him to the store to get his very first toy — I think it was a Lego train set — and it all started from there.”

Four months later, it was this video of Ryan ‘reviewing’ a hundred toys at once that went viral...
