UK Company Announce Lifetime Supply Of Cups For Autistic Boy
Earlier this year our hearts melted when we heard the story of Marc Carter and his autistic son Ben.
The 13-year-old had a specific blue Tommee Tippee cup that he was fixated on and would drink out of exclusively.
But, alas, the cup was on its last legs - what's worse, the cup was also out of production so replacing it with an identical match was not an option.
His father, Marc, made a public plea on social media to track down identical versions of the cup that were unused by the general public, in hope that he could by chance replace it before it was too late.
So fixated was Ben on this cup, that he had landed himself in hospital from dehydration when the cup was not available to him.
What has happened since is well beyond their little family's wildest dreams!
Tommee Tippee have announced that they have tracked down the previously out of service designs and mould and they were willing to create a lifetime's supply of replica cups for Ben!
The first delivery has already made its way to the family, who are now using their social media presence to try to inform others about the reality of living with autism.
We're so glad this story resulted in a happy ending.
