96FM is the station for real music lovers and we're proud to be associated with, and a sponsor of, Rock Scholars.
Rock Scholars places students (of all ages!) in bands that share similar interests, ages and technical skills. Each Rock Scholars band is mentored by an experienced mentor to develop its musicianship, aural skills, performance skills, songwriting skills and general communication skills. All of their bands gig every term at local music venues.
This year Rock Scholars will be focusing on local Perth music; educating their players about the local scene, having more local gigs at the Rock Scholars Garage and assisting bands in becoming involved in the scene themselves. Rock Scholars are really excited by the prospect of linking their fabulous bands and programs to the local industry so stay tuned if you want to know how to get your band off the ground!
