The Website is owned and operated by Radio 96FM Perth Pty Ltd (“96fm”),
which is a wholly owned subsidiary of Fairfax Media Publications
Pty Ltd (Australia) Limited (“Fairfax Media”) ("We"
and "Us"). You can find out more about us by clicking
on links at the bottom of this page. Information provided by you
to the Website may be shared amongst these companies, including
their subsidiaries and related companies. However, except in the
limited circumstances set out below, none of these companies will
provide personally identifiable information about you to third parties
without your express permission.
Collection of Personal Information
We respect your privacy and will endeavour to ensure your privacy
is maintained when providing information electronically. There are
two kinds of information that websites can obtain about you:
Aggregate Information: Aggregate Information is anonymous data
that websites use to analyze trends, administer the Website, diagnose
problems on the sites' servers, track user's movement, gather broad
demographic information for aggregate use and to help improve the
quality of the web pages. It may derive this information from a
domain name or an IP address. None of this information is connected
with Personally Identifiable Information.
Personally Identifiable Information: Personally Identifiable Information
is any information that personally identifies you. When you become
a Website member, we ask you for personal details including name,
post code, date of birth, your location, gender and email address.
We may also ask you to provide us with some lifestyle information
when you register with the Website or for various features of the
Website.
Some of the information that we ask you for is mandatory. The primary
purpose for which we collect it is to enable us to identify who
is using the service and enables you to get the most out of the
Website and to provide you with activities and information in relation
to 96fm. If a question is not specified to be mandatory it is up
to you whether or not you answer it.
We also record other information including responses to promotions,
give-aways and competitions. Whenever a page is requested from our
web server, we record the time, date and URL of the request, along
with information on the browser software that is being used. This
information is collected to enable us to better understand the preferences
of our members and to enable us to better target our communications
including competitions and prizes.
Any information you post on bulletin boards and/or communicated
in chat areas and the like on the Website becomes public information.
While we strive to protect and respect your privacy, we cannot guarantee
the security or treat as personal information any information you
disclose in a chat room or bulletin board.
Disclosure of Personal Information
We may share Aggregate Information with companies in the Fairfax
Media group, and our partners, advertisers and sponsors. Personally
Identifiable Information about you may be shared in the Fairfax
Media group, and may be shared to external service providers for
analysis purposes only.
We may disclose personally identifiable information about you to
any company in connection with a proposed or actual sale, merger,
transfer, or exchange of all or a portion of a business or operating
unit if you do business or have done business with that business
or operating unit, but only if that company agrees to use the data
prior to any acquisition solely for the purpose of making its acquisition
decision and to observe the relevant provisions of our Privacy Policy
with respect to the data. In the event that personally identifiable
information about you is transferred to a company acquiring assets
from us, we will require that company to agree to observe the relevant
provisions of our Privacy Policy with respect to personally identifiable
information about you.
We will also disseminate Personally Identifiable Information about
you where we believe it is necessary:
• because it is required by law or in the good-faith belief
that such action is necessary in order to conform to the edicts
of the law, cooperate with law enforcement or other government agencies,
or comply with a legal process served on the Website or court orders;
• to provide you with a service which you have requested;
• to implement our Terms of Use;
• to protect our rights or property or those of any Website
user, or any member of the public.
• to lessen or prevent a serious threat to a person's health
or safety.
Except as described above we will not share your Personally Identifiable
Information with any third party without your consent unless we
tell you otherwise when asking for it.

by posting the names (or user names ) of the winners and their suburb
and state of residence;
• notify you if you are a winner of a competition;
• where you have agreed, send you information about 96fm,

of the party which is the specified promoter of the competition
("Competition Promoter"). We may be the Competition Promoter,
but from time to time, the promoter of the competition may be another
company in the Fairfax Media group or our sponsors or advertisers.
Accordingly Personally Identifiable Information will be available
to the Competition Promoter for the purpose of administering the
competition and notifying you if you are a winner of the competition
and for any other purpose to which you specifically agree. If we
