Get A Better Sleep By Letting Your Dog Sleep On You Bed
Not that we really needed any convincing, but apparently we should all be sharing our bed with our pet doggos. And if you don’t, well you’re barking mad, according to science!
A new study has revealed that letting your pooch sleep nestled at your feet on your bed can actually help you get a better night’s sleep.
‘An Examination of Adult Women’s Sleep Quality and Sleep Routines in Relation to Pet Ownership and Bedsharing’ studied 962 woman in the US to see how pet ownership impacted their sleep patterns.
The research found that just over half of those who participated in the study let at least one of their dogs sleep in their bed, while 31 per cent shared their bed with at least one cat.
It was also calculated that 57 percent of participants in the study shared a bed with their partner.
The results found that while cats and other people could be quite “disruptive” to a person’s sleep, dogs could actually make a person sleep better and therefore are the ideal bed-sharing partners.
Not only did dog’s appear to have be a less disruptive sleep companion, but they reportedly create strong feelings of comfort and security for their owner.
Well you don’t need to tell us twice! But TBH if we end up owning as many puppies as we dream of we have a feeling we’re going to need a bed like this to fit them all in:
