VIC Cyclist Throws Motorist’s Keys In Bush During Road Rage

Driving can be rather rage inducing but not many people actually act on their rage besides a passive-aggressive honk of the horn. However, it seems that was not the case in Melbourne’s east when a cyclist decided to snatch a motorist’s car keys and throw them into the bush!

An unidentified woman was driving along Mount Dandenong Tourist Road in Tremont in her Kia hatchback around 2:30pm on Tuesday, when a cyclist became enraged with her driving. The road, also known as Devils Elbow, is a popular route for cyclists.

A male cyclist became so annoyed by her driving that he stopped her on the road, reached through her lowered window, grabbed the keys from the ignition, and threw them down the nearby embankment into bushland before pedalling off.

The woman was left stranded alongside her car and had to hail the local constabulary. Responding officers searched for the keys and successfully located them. They are now appealing for witnesses to come forward.

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
