Seedless Avocados Now Exist To Prevent 'Avocado Hand'

So, OK, there’s this legit problem that apparently exists… and it’s called ‘avocado hand’.

It seems Brits have been regularly stabbing and cutting their hands while attempting to slice traditional avocados.

Apparently, ‘avocado hand’ is so common the that the British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons recently called for warning labels to be slapped on them. The avocado, not the person.

But as quickly as there is a problem, there already seems to be a solution: seedless avocados.

British retail chain Marks & Spencer have started to stock the ‘cocktail avocado’ and they claim it’s 100 per cent edible. We’re talking skin and all.

The thing is, while hipsters everywhere are girding their loins over this, seedless avos have kinda been around for awhile. The lack of a big ol’ seed is the result of an unpollinated avocado blossom.

One thing’s for sure, while seedless avos are likely to be more expensive than seedy ones, at least you now don’t need any skill whatsoever to crack one open.
