Man Fed Up Waiting To Leave Aircraft Takes Emergency Exit

A man who grew fed up with waiting to disembark a plane on New Year’s Day has found himself in hot water after using the emergency exit to instead wait on the wing.

The plane had been sitting on the tarmac at a Spanish airport for about half an hour after touching down from London.

The Ryanair passenger, reportedly a Polish man in his 50s, sat on the wing for some time before being coaxed back inside.

One passenger described the situation as “surreal” when the man said he was “going via the wing” while another reportedly said the man had been suffering from asthma and was struggling to breathe.

A spokesman for Ryanair called the man’s actions as an "airport security breach".

"Malaga airport police immediately arrested the passenger in question and since this was a breach of Spanish safety and security regulations, it is being dealt with by the Spanish authorities," he said.
