You Can Be Fined $448 In Sydney For Having A Dirty Car!
You know how you just CBF cleaning your cars for months and the more grime/dirt that builds up just puts you off cleaning it even more?
Yeah, well we have a pretty good reason that it's about time to get off your lazy arse and get a-scrubbin (or just keep being lazy and drive through the car wash).
You could cop a heavy fine for having a car so dirty that your license plates aren't displayed cleanly and clearly.
And it's no small fine, it'll set you back $448 and you'll be hit in the demerit points too, losing three of them.
A Facebook post by NSW Police has advised that 'not washing your car properly,' by 'neglecting' cleaning the licence plate could end up costing you.
While you're scrubbing the car it also pays to check that the plates are properly displayed (not obscured in anyway), as this will hit you in the pocket with the same fine.
Obviously, people of NSW aren't stoked about this little-known fine, with a comment on the Facebook saying "you get fined for everything these days."
And those in other states aren't necessarily in the clear either, as they can also be fined, with South Australia being at risk of being fined up to a hefty $534!
