Alleged Perth child abuser pleads not guilty, to stand trial
The man accused of kidnapping two young children from a Perth holiday care centre and sexually assaulting them will stand trial.
Vincenzo Mule pleaded not guilty when he appeared via video link from Hakea prison in Stirling Gardens Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
The 52-year-old allegedly lured a four-year-old girl and five-year-old boy from the North Perth program on April 19 before molesting them and leaving them at Hyde Park.
Mule is scheduled for a trial listing hearing in the District Court of WA on November 18.
He also entered pleas of not guilty for two charges of unlawful damage by fire and one count of breaching a violence restraining order.
Mule allegedly destroyed a car and damaged Department of Housing and Works property in North Beach on April 16.
Those arson charges have been committed to the Supreme Court of WA on November 14.
The restraining order charge will return to the Stirling Gardens Magistrates Court for a mention on November 16.
Mule, who appeared in a green prison tracksuit and wore a long greying beard, was remanded in custody.
