Body Believed To Be Missing Man, Ian Collett, Found

The body of a man found in bushland in Perth’s south-east is believed to be that of Ian Collett.

Mr Collett, who had dementia, went missing five weeks ago after wandering away from his home in Canning Vale on May 19.

At the time, a massive search for the 65-year-old was launched but he could not be located.

On Thursday, police said that the body of a man believed to be Mr Collett had been located in bushland along Albany Highway near Hakea Road in Ashendon.

Albany Highway is currently closed and only large trucks are being let through.
