'Egg Girl' Charged With Assault And Cannabis Possession
A 24-year-old has been charged after reportedly egging Prime Minister Scott Morrison.
The retail worker - known online as 'Amber Paige' - approached the Prime Minister, and allegedly tried to smack him in the back of the head on Tuesday morning.
She was immediately tackled by security, resulting in a 70-year-old woman being knocked to the ground.
She is currently in police custody after walking herself to the station. She was charged with common assault, and the possession of cannabis.
The woman was reportedly protesting the government's offshore detention policy.
She told reporters the egging "speaks for itself" and that "he [Morrison] deserves it".
"Have you seen his video to Manus Island?," she asked.
She has been granted strict conditional bail and will face Albury Local Court on May 27.
