Election Candidate Releases Nude Pics Of His Estranged Wife
A council candidate in the US has admitted to posting nude photos of his estranged wife to his campaign website.
David Martinez was running for a city council position in St Paul in Minnesota last July when he posted a topless photo of his wife just one day after she filed for a protection order against him.
Facing court this week, he pleaded guilty to non-consensual dissemination of private sexual images and ordered to serve two years’ probation, complete a mental health evaluation, avoid drugs and alcohol and refrain from having contact with his wife.
If he breaks those terms he could face a year in prison.
It's just the tip of the iceberg for the independent candidate who was "accused of domestic abuse, ejected and banned from a baseball field and arrested and banned from public libraries during his election campaign," according to the Associated Press.
He was not elected.
