Appeal To Owner Of Dogs Which Mauled Perth Girl, 9
The family of a child who was attacked by two dogs in a Perth park has called for the owner to come forward.
The girl, 9, was mauled at Success Hill Park in Bassendean on Friday.
The girl’s family told Nine News Perth she was with her three brothers at the time when a woman walked past them with two dogs, which were both unleashed.
The woman reportedly said, “if you see my dogs coming make sure you stand up,” but the children were unsure what that meant.
A short time later, both dogs rushed the girl, pinning her to the ground.
Her 16-year-old brother managed to lift his sister over his head in an effort to protect her.
The dogs’ owner left the scene without leaving any contact information.
The incident is being investigated by the City of Bassendean after it was reported to police.
The owner of the dogs has been described as between 40-50 years old, with shoulder-length blonde hair, of medium build and around 160 centimetres tall.
