Perth DJ Charged Over Kidnap Of Toddler In San Francisco
A Perth DJ and former member of Pride WA’s board of management has been charged for allegedly trying to kidnap a toddler in the US.
Roscoe Holyoake, 34, also known as DJ Roski, is accused of trying to snatch the 2-year-old boy as he walked with his mother along a street San Francisco.
The alleged incident happened on Friday, about midday, local time.
The San Francisco Gate reported that the 32-year-old mother was walking with her son when she said Holyoake grabbed the child and ran off with him.
Holyoake was then chased down by bystanders and was held until officers arrived.
Police said the child suffered some minor injuries, but the family didn’t seek medical attention.
Holyoake DJ’d at Connections Nightclub and presented All Things Queer on RTRFM. He previously held a position on the board of Pride WA.
He’s been charged with kidnapping and remains in custody.
Bail has been set at $US500,000.
