'Shots Fired' Outside WA Police Station

A man allegedly fired several shots outside a West Australian police station during a rampage through a rural town in the state's south-west, about 200 kilometres south of Perth.

According to PerthNow, an off-duty officer was at home when he spotted a trailer and motorcycle being abandoned outside the station about 2am on Thursday morning.

The man allegedly threatened officers and fired into the air outside Nannup Police Station before driving away and returning, armed with a knife.

“Police challenged the man and he (was) arrested without incident,” a WA Police spokeswoman said.

The 65-year-old has been taken to Bunbury District Hospital for assessment.
