Ute set alight after ATM ram-raid in Greenwood

Ram-raiders have used at stolen ute to drag an automatic teller machine from a Greenwood shopping centre.

Police believe four people in two vehicles, one of which was towing an enclosed trailer, arrived at the Greenwood Village Shopping Centre on Calectasia Street around midnight.

The vehicle was driven through the front doors of the centre before a rope or chain was used to rip the ATM out of the wall, the ABC reports.

The stolen dual cab ute, a Nissan Navara, which was missing number plates, was set alight in middle of the road, just outside the shopping centre.

It is unclear when and from where the vehicle was stolen.

Anyone with information is urged to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or report the information online at www.crimestopperswa.com.au.
