Domino's Stop Night Deliveries To WA Suburb
Pizza giant Domino’s has decided to stop making night deliveries to a Bunbury suburb after rocks had been repeatedly thrown at their delivery cars.
It affects just 10 streets in the Withers area, but Domino’s says the move was a necessary one.
WAtoday reported that delivery drivers were being targeted by youths who had been throwing rocks at the delivery cars. One employee had their car window broken by a rock.
"The safety of our team members is our highest priority and, after several incidents of anti-social behaviour in which cars were damaged, Domino's Bunbury has temporarily stopped deliveries to some areas of Withers," a spokesperson said.
"Domino's understands this decision is disappointing to our local customers and we thank them for their understanding,
"Domino's will work closely with the local police and looks forward to recommencing deliveries in the near future.”
Orders to the area will now be pick-up only.
