Young Boy In Critical Condition After Being Found In Hot Car
An eight-year-old boy is fighting for his life in hospital after being found unresponsive in a car as the temperature in Melbourne hit 32C.
Firefighters were called about 2.40pm on Monday after reports of a child trapped in a vehicle.
Minutes later, one of the youngster's parents found him in the vehicle, believed to be a black mini-van.
The boy was taken to Royal Children's Hospital and is in a critical condition.
"It is unclear ... how the boy came to be in the car however the incident is not believed to be suspicious," police said in a statement.
