EXCLUSIVE: Bree Olson reveals when Charlie Sheen really knew

In an Australian exclusive, Charlie Sheen's ex girlfriend Bree Olson speaks to Hughesy & Kate moments after Sheen announced live on USA's Today Show, that he has been HIV positive for the past four years.

The Today Show's interview with Sheen remained extremely vague, and doesn't go into specifics in regards to the time that Sheen was informed that he was HIV positive. Olson reveals the truth about when Sheen would have known about his condition, and failed to inform is sexual partners at the time.

Listen to the full interview below.

Charlie Sheen sat down with the Today show’s Matt Lauer and opened up about being HIV positive and how he has known for a while, receiving his diagnosis “roughly four years ago.”

He explained to Matt Lauer why he felt the need to speak out now… “I have to put a stop to this onslaught, this barrage of attacks and of sub-truths”.

Charlie reveals he has had unprotected sex with two people since receiving his diagnosis but that they “were under the care of my doctor” – but that he has warned everyone else “I’m here to admit I’m in fact HIV positive”.

The Today Show reports that Sheen had trusted the diagnosis with people he thought he could confide in, but has paid out upwards of $10 million to keep the illness a secret, "What people forget is that that's money they're taking from my children," he said about the "shakedowns" he has experienced. "I trusted them and they were deep in my inner circle, and I thought they could be helpful. My trust turned to their treason."

Interviewer Matt Lauer asked Sheen if he was still paying people to keep it quiet “not after today I’m not! I released myself from this prison today.”

Sheen had told his oldest daughter and “it hit her hard and she recovered. “I said sweetie, I’m sorry I didn’t tell you sooner, I didn’t want to burden you with the stress”.

TMZ have reported that at least “six women have lawyered up in the last 24 hours and plan to sue charlie Sheen for international infliction of emotional distress, fraud, sexual battery - and more”. It is alleged that the women had “unprotected sex with Sheen, as recently as last month and that he did not disclose his HIV status”.

Charlie Sheen’s Doctor has confirmed that he has contracted HIV but “does not have AIDS”, that his HIV levels in his blood are so low at the moment that he’s almost undetectable he cannot pass it on.

Sheen revealed that he takes four pills every day and his doctor said his concern was on battling substance abuse.

Sheen’s outlook is "not great. It will be great again. I'm a survivor. I've been up, I've been down, I've been rich, I've been poor," he said. "It's another chapter in my life but it's not commerce driven. It's socially driven.”.
