Corey Worthington Will Compete On Australian Ninja Warrior
The boy with the yellow hair and sunglasses, Corey Worthington is officially returning to reality TV!
The party boy, who’s rather lame claim to fame came from an out of control party that he threw in Melbourne back in 2008, made his way onto reality tv during a stint on Big Brother that same year.
But now 10 years later after plenty of rumours have been circling it’s finally been confirmed that he’s making a comeback and is set to compete on Ninja Warrior!
Ben Fordham is the host of Channel Nine’s insane fitness show that sees contestants attempt to make their way through an intense obstacle course and he told 96FM’s Hour of Power hosts Kyle and Jackie O that Corey would in fact be attempting to make his way through the Ninja course.
It all came about when Jackie asked Ben if we could expect to see any celebrities on this season of the hit show.
“Remember that feral little kid that held the party, Corey Worthington?”, said Ben. “I thought I’d mention him first because he’s more up Kyle’s alley, but he’s doing it.”
Many people might be shocked by the fact that the same boy who refused to take his sunglasses off while doing a TV interview would ever end up becoming a hard core athlete, but according to Ben, Corey’s actually been training really hard for the course.
“He’s buff now,” continued Ben.
Rumours that Corey would be taking part in the show started circling at the end of 2017 after one of notorious party boy’s workmates posted to Facebook wishing him luck in the try outs.
“Corey Worthington…He was on and in December he will be on Ninja Warrior. Good luck mate, have fun, u got this mate,” the post read.
Other celebs who will be joining Corey on the extreme obstacle course are Jett Kenny, son of Aussie Swimmer Lisa Curry and former Iron man Grant Kenny, and NRL star Paul Gallen.
Australian Ninja Warrior Starts Sunday July 8 at 7pm on Nine.
