Adults Who Own Kids Toys: Yeah Or Nah?
After a colleague brought in a massively oversized metal hand, and knowing that Paul was into ‘collectables’, Lise wondered if these guys owning ‘toys’ were the exception or the rule.
“I questioned whether I was working with teen boys or grown men,” she said on Tuesday.
Not to be outdone by the ‘big hand’, which was actually an Infinity Gauntlet from the yet-to-be-released Avengers movie, ‘Infinity War’, Paul brought in one of his favourite items, a remote control R2D2.
“You gotta remember, these aren’t toys,” he reminded Lise.
“These are not children’s toys, you wouldn’t trust a child with this.”
After switching it on, a recording of the iconic Princess Leia scene that played.
“Help me Obiwan Kenobi, you’re my only hope” the recording said.
“Yep, that’s me” deadpanned Lise.
“Except I’m saying ‘help me’ to my boss, you’re my only hope”
After discussing how expensive some of these toys can be – the Infinity Gauntlet was about $250 and the R2D2 wasn’t much cheaper – the guys opened the phones.
