David Mundy Is Already Seeing AFL Talent In His 3yo Son
Fremantle Docker David Mundy doesn’t reckon his eldest son will be following in his AFL footsteps, but it’s a different story for his middle child.
It was following a chat about Nat Fyfe’s niggly knee that Mundy made the admission.
Paul & Lise asked if there was a certain expectation, being an AFL player, for their child to perform while playing Auskick.
“My second son, Hudson, who’s now three, he’ll be a bit more sporty than my eldest,” Mundy said.
“Why do you say that?” Lise asked.
Mundy explained that his son Finn, 5, had never really got into kicking or throwing a ball around but his three-year-old was the opposite.
“Almost since he could walk, he’s been throwing the tennis ball to the dog,” Mundy said.
But it gets even more incredible.
“He can proficiently kick a drop punt to me, and he’s three years old.”
Lise asked if all his hopes were going into Hudson.
“Yep,” Mundy joked.
