The Best Coffee In Perth Isn't Just Confined To The CBD

We reported last week that one of the world's biggest travel guidebooks, Lonely Planet, has included three Perth cafes in its guide to all things coffee.

Telegram, La Veen and Pixel made the cut. And rightly so, their brews are top bloody notch.

However, we thought it was slightly off that two of the three are in the CBD and the other in Leederville.

Lonely Planet says they work with a network of coffee-loving travel writers and coffee journalists to come up with Lonely Planet’s Global Coffee Tour, but still, what about the great coffee you can get in the ‘burbs?

96FM’s Paul & Lise opened the phones to get listeners’ opinion on where in the suburbs you can get a seriously great cup of coffee…

Josh in Alexander Heights: Jumping Beans Café in Canning Vale

“It’s not a hipster place, they just do coffee and that’s all they do and it’s melts your soul”

Simon in South Fremantle: Little Horn in Applecross

“It’s a little hole cut into the side of a building and Molly’s the barista there and she just makes coffee and it’s like the best coffee in Perth, I reckon, it’s smooth and silky”

Melissa in Pinjarra: Roar Creations in Pinjarra

“We’re a bit spoiled for choice in Pinny, but that one is the best. Beautiful coffee perfectly roasted”

Rachel in Maylands: Steamhouse in Maylands

“Amazing coffee”

Gracie in Wanneroo: Marmalade Café in Duncraig (inside the Carine Glades shopping centre)

(Paul & Lise were so taken with Gracie’s voice that we didn’t get a full description of the coffee, but we’re gonna go with the fact its probs absolute heaven.)
