Amid Injuries, Jako Recalls Advice From Mick Malthouse
Eagles legend Glen Jakovich had some strong words over doubts swirling around the club’s premiership hopes.
Of course, he was talking about Nic Natainui’s latest knee injury, which could see the star ruckman out for the long term.
“I really question that criticism,” Jakovich told Paul & Lise Tim McMillan on Friday.
“One man does not make a team.”
Despite the test going forward for West Coast, Jako remarked on how the team had already stepped up, particularly Jack Redden, Mark Le Cras, Jack Darling and 96FM’s own Elliot Yeo.
He consistently came up with example after example of how teams have stepped up after losing a marquee player, or players, to injury.
Jako even looked back to what Mick Malthouse when he, John Worsfold and Guy McKenna were all injured in the space of 3 or 4 months.
