Joe Hildebrand Weighs-In On Kerri-Anne's Studio 10 Rant
Joe Hildebrand has played down Kerri-Anne Kennerley's bizarre rant on Channel 10's Studio 10, on which they are both panellists.
On Wednesday, Kennerley took aim specifically at Labor leader Bill Shorten, saying his policies would spark an “end to life as we know it” if he took out Saturday’s election.
“If Bill Shorten gets in, it’s the end of life as we know it,” she had said.
On Thursday, Lise said that listening to her made her want to buy more canned food and build a bunker.
Hildebrand joined Paul & Lise on Thursday where he was to talk about Channel 10's election coverage on Saturday but, naturally, KAK chat took over.
Paul asked him how he was preparing for the zombie apocalypse that Kennerley had predicted.
“Firstly, there will be a long, slow siren,” Hildebrand said.
“Followed by a higher-pitched more frequent siren, that is the sign to immediately evacuate to your underground bunker.”
Lise then asked Hildebrand what his reaction was to Kennerley, particularly as he was there.
“No, I thought, you know, she certainly entitled to her opinion,” he said diplomatically.
“I have a slightly more nuanced view of the outcome, namely that all governments are basically the same.”
He previously predicted a Labor win.
“I think they’re going to get in and get in comfortably,” Hildebrand had said.
“I think, let’s say at least 80 seats [for Labor]. The government has to win three seats just to get majority.”
