Was The Optus Stadium Streaker Really A 'Streaker'?
A woman wearing jeans and a bra has copped a three-year ban from Optus Stadium after she was forcibly removed from the field on Saturday night.
It’s unclear how, but the woman had made her way onto the field shortly after the final siren between the Fremantle Dockers and the Gold Coast Suns.
Paul & Lise took issue with the woman being called a ‘streaker’.
“A person who runs naked through a public place in order to attract attention or to express strong disapproval at something,” Lise read from the dictionary.
“Was she really streaking? Because she had jeans on and a bra… that’s really not streaking.”
Lise took it further.
“She’s been charged and has got a three-year ban, do you think that’s too much?”
Paul agreed that it wasn’t ‘streaking’.
“That’s just invading the pitch”
In January, 23-year-old Ben Jenkins was charged with trespassing after he streaked during a one-day international cricket match between Australia and England.
The West reported that Optus Stadium officials said that two women had entered the playing field when there were no players or officials on it.
WA Police arrested the women, who have already been handed three-year bans to the stadium.
By the way, the Dockers won the game 13.18 (96) to 10.8 (68)
