It’s been 20 years since many of us first heard Something For Kate.

Echolalia wasn’t their debut but their third album, and in 2001, it peaked at #2 on the ARIA chart.

It later made the top 40 in the book, 100 Best Australian Albums.

In the lead-up to the band kicking off their ‘Double Or Nothing’ tour at Perth’s Astor Theatre on September 17, frontman Paul Dempsey admitted to Clairsy & Lisa that a completely different band name could’ve been on the bill…

In 1994, the band was originally called ‘Fish of the Day’.

But, get this: while he was super glad they changed the name… 27 years later, he’s still not sure about their “weird band name”.
