The iconic Dionne Warwick went from music royalty to Twitter queen this month when she roasted Chance The Rapper and The Weeknd (to their delight) by slamming their stage names.
The interaction sparked a Saturday Night Live sketch, where the iconic singer-songwriter (played by Ego Nwodim) hosts her own talk show and Billie Eilish (Melissa Villaseñor) is one of her guests.
In the skit, Warwick introduces the pop star as “William Eyelash” (you can thank The Office’s Rainn Wilson for that nickname) and calls her “spooky.”

And then the real Warwick gave us all another gift on Twitter with a series of posts…
“I took the time to check out William Eyelash. Very spooky. Great vocals,” reads the first magnificent tweet.

Warwick follows it up with “She is singing like it is Halloween.”

And then the legend put the cherry on top by admitting that she wasn’t joking when she referred to Eilish as William Eyelash because she really thought that was her name.
“I thought her name was William Eyelash from the @nbcsnl performance,” she wrote. “I do know her name is Billie now.”
