Meghan Markle has made a surprise appearance at the British Fashion Awards overnight, stunning the audience with her beautiful baby bump as she presented a very special award.
The Duchess of Sussex stepped on stage at the star-studded event held at the Royal Albert Hall on Monday evening to present an award to the woman who designed her wedding dress, Clare Waight Keller of Givenchy.
The 37-year-old absolutely glowed in a black one-shoulder and form fitting dress that showed off her growing baby bump, believed to have been designed by Ms Waight Keller.
During her acceptance of the award the Givenchy designer gushed about Meghan saying, “this woman is so amazing. I got to know Meghan on such a personal level.
“To have someone like that trust you on such a personal moment in their life… I can’t thank you enough because it was the most beautiful moment.”
While on stage, Meghan, who is expecting her first child with Prince Harry in April next year, clutched her growing baby bump.
She had her hair pulled back into a slick, low bun with minimal makeup, similar to that seen on her wedding day. The Duchess added simple gold earrings and gold bangles to finish the look.
Meghan married Prince Harry on May 19 this year and Ms Keller was the mastermind behind her gorgeous silk gown and long, detailed veil.
The Duchess’ gown was a simple design with a boat neckline and A-line skirt featuring no lace or embroidery. The train of the dress measured nearly 6 feet from the waist and had three-quarter length sleeves.
The veil was the hero of the wedding look as it was embroidered with floral references to all 53 countries in the Commonwealth and took hundreds of hours to make.
Meghan met with Ms Keller earlier this year to design the gown together.
