In news that is simply the opposite of noice, the dog who played Captin Holt’s beloved Corgi Cheddar has died in real life. And as Captain Holt himself would say, everything is garbage.

The pup’s real name was Stewart and the news of his passing was announced by his owner’s on Instagram.

Unfortunately, Stewart had become ill and had to be put down. But not before he was able to experience a perfect day, playing at the beach and eating at In & Out Burger for his last meal.

(We’re not crying, YOU’RE CRYING!)

“My precious boy Stewart crossed the rainbow bridge today,” the post read, alongside a gorgeous photo of him sitting in a cart on the beach.

“He went to the beach (his favourite place) where he frolicked in the surf and then enjoyed a picnic lunch of In & Out burgers. We relaxed in the sun and just enjoyed each other’s company.

“Our veterinarian met us there later and Stewart went to sleep peacefully in my arms while listening to the sounds of the ocean.”

Stewarts real parents were so proud of him and his role on the famous cop show, calling him their “supaah staah”.

The role of Cheddar will now be taken over by Stewart’s sister Stella.

RIP Stewart. The Nine Nine precinct will miss you.
